Contestant Rules and Eligibility

Welcome to the AG Adventure Race – a one-of-a-kind reality competition that celebrates the strength, creativity, and unity of the Nigerian spirit.

By registering or participating, you agree to the following Contest Rules and Eligibility Policy, which governs all aspects of the race, from entry to prize claims.

Eligibility

To ensure fairness and safety, all participants must meet the following criteria:

Be 18 years or older at the time of registration.
Be a Nigerian citizen or legal resident with valid identification.
Be physically and mentally fit to participate in physical, outdoor, and endurance activities.
Register as a team of two (2) members – each member must meet all eligibility requirements.
Agree to be available for all race events, filming, and promotional activities during the production period.

AG Adventure Race reserves the right to verify eligibility through documentation or interviews before and during the competition.

Registration Process and Deadlines

Teams must complete the online registration form available on the official AG Adventure Race website.
All required fields, including personal details, contact information, and motivation statements, must be filled accurately.
Each team must upload a team photo and a 1–2 minute introduction video as part of their application.
Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered.
Registration closes on [Insert Deadline Date], after which no new entries will be accepted.

Video and Photo Submission Rules

Submitted videos and photos must feature both team members clearly visible.
The video should introduce your team, explain your motivation, and highlight why you deserve to be selected.
Maximum video length: 2 minutes.
Acceptable formats: MP4, MOV, or AVI (max file size: 200MB).
Any offensive, misleading, or plagiarized content will lead to automatic disqualification.

Selection Criteria and Stages

Applications will be reviewed based on the following:
- Team Chemistry: How well teammates interact and complement each other.
- Personality and Creativity: Enthusiasm, originality, and energy on camera.
- Physical and Mental Readiness: Indications of endurance and resilience.
- Cultural Connection: Understanding and celebration of Nigerian diversity.

Selection Process:

Initial Screening – Review of form, photo, and video submission.
Shortlisting – Selected teams will be invited for virtual or in-person interviews.
Final Selection – Chosen teams will receive official confirmation and participation details.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

Disqualification and Withdrawal Policy

Participants may be disqualified or withdrawn from the race for any of the following reasons:
- Submission of false or misleading information.
- Unethical, offensive, or unsafe behavior during any stage of the race.
- Breach of race rules, confidentiality, or safety instructions.
- Failure to participate in mandatory briefings, training, or filming sessions.
- Medical issues or conditions that prevent safe participation (as determined by race officials).
AG Adventure Race reserves the right to remove or replace any participant at its sole discretion.

Prize and Claim Procedures

The Grand Prize for the winning team is ₦1,000,000 (One Million Naira)
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged or substituted.
To claim the prize, winners must:
Present valid government-issued identification.
Complete all post-race interviews and promotional appearances.
Sign a winner’s release form acknowledging receipt of the prize.
If a winning team is found to have violated any rule, their prize may be forfeited and awarded to the next eligible team.

Liability and Safety

Participation in the AG Adventure Race is voluntary and at the participant’s own risk.
All participants must sign a liability waiver before competing.
The organizers will provide reasonable safety measures, but each team is responsible for following safety instructions during challenges.

Organizer’s Rights

AG Adventure Race reserves the right to:
- Modify race rules or routes due to safety, logistics, or production requirements.
- Postpone or cancel the race in cases of force majeure.
- Use participant names, images, and videos for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes without further compensation.
